To tie in with our Remembrance Day game against the Murrayfield Racers we are excited, proud and humbled to reveal a very special shirt for this game.

It is a jersey to remember 100 years since Armistice Day in 1918, it is also a jersey to remember each and every member of our armed forces who has died as a result of conflict.

Because of this the name bar will read "Lest We Forget" instead of our players name. This is to recognise the 100,000's of names who gave the ultimate sacrifice and will never get the chance to play.

There will be a limited run of 100 jerseys, #1 will be donated to DST Leconfield as a mark of respect from the organisation.

The 21 game worn players jerseys will go on auction for 10 days from 0600 on 24th October. The opening bid will start at £50 and each shirt will be signed and presented to the auction winner at the Remembrance Day game. Follow this link to bid for your chance to own one.

That leaves 78 shirts available for pre-order at £50 each from Skaters Edge in person or by calling 01482 589559. These jerseys are available to buy from today, but will not be available to collect until week commencing Monday 5th November leading up to the Remembrance Day game.

All proceeds from the open sale and the players auction will be donated to the Royal British Legion and SSAFA - The Armed Forces Charity. SSAFA is a UK charity that provides lifelong support to serving men and women and veterans from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents. Anyone who is currently serving or has ever served in the Royal Navy, British Army or Royal Air Force and their families, both regulars and reserves, is eligible for their help.

This is a charity very close to our hearts and an opportunity for us to give back to those who, on a daily basis, give so much and expect so little in return.
