Last season David iced over 30 times for MK Lightning in the EIHL, and prior to that played 3 seasons for Arizona State University.
David stands at a mighty 6ft 2 and weighs in at 205 lbs. Player-Coach Jason Hewitt believes his large stature contributes to his style of physical play and is something the Pirates have been lacking.
“I’m happy we’ve managed to acquire David, I think his playing background and where he’s coming from will really suit our style of play.” remarked Jason. “The fact he’s played in the UK before was a big thing. We needed a player that is more direct, goes to the net hard and can take a game by the scruff of the neck, I think with David’s size he adds that.”
David lands this week and has advised, “I am extremely excited to be joining the Hull Pirates, I hope that I can help bring a championship back to Hull. I enjoyed my time last year in England and am happy to be coming back to the country. The UK fans are some of the best fans I’ve played in front of and I have heard nothing but great things about Hull and their community. I can’t wait to get there and get to work!”
